Winter in Augusta, Montana: A Peek at Life in Big Sky Country

We often get asked what Montana is like during winter. And we’re here to tell you one thing – it’s never dull. While life slows down this time of year, you can find Tucker out plowing snow and feeding horses, Amy keeping things running at home (including booking guests for summer pack trips and fall hunts), Bryar working on a myriad of projects and Turk/Mady getting ready to welcome twin boys that are set to join the Mills family this spring.

Our sweet town along the Rocky Mountain Front (Augusta, Montana) is currently in the midst of a cold snap – we’re talking negative 25 degree temps – but with our location along the east side, cold temps usually come with sunshine. We like to joke that even if it is -25 below, if the sun is shining we can make it through the cold days of winter. We’re especially grateful for the epic amounts of snow we’ve been getting these last few weeks.

Here’s a glimpse into winter in Augusta, Montana…

From our family to yours, we’re wishing you lots of sunshine-filled days this winter,

-The Mills
